Sports and leisure activities within walking distance of Les Peupliers 3* campsite
Fun and games for all the family
Our partner Ardèche Adventure is just a 5-minute walk from the campsite. It offers paintball in a shady setting, with the largest park in Ardèche (from age 6), open all year round. You can also rent a canoé to float down the Ardèche or play all together with the Water Game. What a great way to spend an afternoon of laughter and games with family or friends !
Rent a canoe on site
Several canoe rental companies are located in the vicinity close to the campsite. Our partners Les Argonautes or Ardèche Adventure allow you to descend the Ardèche starting from Vogüé in magnificent surroundings. You can reach the pier on foot or by bike, or even by car, leaving your vehicle in the parking lot. You can set your own departure time and route, which can be as far as Ruoms by canoe-kayak. This upstream part of the Ardèche, less well known than the Gorges themselves, offers beautiful scenery (cliffs, cirque de Gens, villages of Vogüé and Balazuc, ...), in a more tranquil atmosphere. The more sporty can follow on, still by canoe, with the descente des Gorges de l'Ardèche.
Don't forget sunscreen, a hat, an old pair of sneakers or water shoes, and at least a liter of water per person! A waterproof canister and lifejacket are provided. Return by comfortable shuttle bus. Please note that this activity is reserved for people aged 7 and over who can swim.
Also, Ardèche Adventure offers paintball in a shady setting, a 5-minute walk from the campsite.
Bike tours departing from the campsite
For mountain bikers, there are also plenty of possibilities from the campsite, with a signposted circuit that passes through Vogüé and connects to other trails. There are 13 dedicated circuits in the Pont d'Arc-Ardèche area (200 km of mountain bike network), of which Vogüé is a part, and many more possibilities on shared trails !
Finally, for those who prefer a gentler mode, the Via Ardèche is a greenway built on the route of the former Aubenas-Alès railway line. In full development and included in the department's bicycle-friendly development plan, it links Uzer, near Largentière, to the north, with Saint-Paul-Le-Jeune to the south. The Via Ardèche passes through Vogüé, less than a km from Les Peupliers campsite ! Its 46 km of asphalt or stabilized surface is suitable for bikes and pedestrians only, with virtually no gradient. A more rugged connecting route even allows you to reach Vallon Pont d'Arc from Ruoms over 10 km, thus avoiding the road, which is very busy in summer. The Via Ardèche offers sumptuous panoramic views of the river and mountains, and makes for an excellent day out with family and friends.
If you don't bring your own equipment, you'll find, subject to availability, bikes for hire at the 3* Les Peupliers campsite. Remember to reserve them at reception!
